1.0 INTRODUCTION

This article is intended to provide an outline of Malaysia's existing building and construction legislation.

 

The article is not intended to be a thorough discussion of all property development and building laws. Nonetheless, in light of the implementation of the Certificate of Completion and Compliance [CCC], it will give a specific review of the Uniform Building By-Laws, 1984 / Amendments 2007, which had undergone significant amendments, as well as touching on the main Act 133 - Street, Drainage & Building Act, 1974 / Act A1286 - Amendment 2007, which had undergone significant amendments.
